The Cecina is a shallow, dish-shaped bowl with a parallel, half-round interior groove pattern. Frequently left empty or filled with water (in order to see the interior pattern), even when planted the unique scalloped edge of the interior grooving is still visible around the rim.
This interior grooving was another adaptation of a small ceramic vessel which we very much liked and decided to replicate in a different medium and much larger size.
