The Milano urn was the original piece in this series of four urns. It is one of our earliest designs.
The texutre on this piece is what we call 'plate', which refers to the smooth, irregularly shaped, more color-saturated areas on the surface. This is created by burnishing down a thicker area of terracotta-pigmented, base coat color, which is done with thin steel 'ribs', or flexible trowels.
